Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)

A simple, tax-efficient way to change a student’s life

DAFs are one of the fastest growing forces in philanthropy today. Many Bay Scholars supporters choose to give through a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) at Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, Vanguard Charitable, Silicon Valley Community Foundation, or other sponsoring organizations. Recommending a grant from your DAF is one of the easiest and most impactful ways to support talented students from under-resourced Bay Area communities.

Why Give Through Your DAF?

  • Simple and secure

  • Flexible timing for year-end or multi-year commitments

  • Tax-efficient charitable strategy

  • Ability to make recurring or larger transformational gifts

A $3,500 annual scholarship investment supports one Bay Scholar for a full academic year at a college-prep high school. Multi-year DAF commitments allow us to confidently support scholars through graduation.
